> Introduction Seminar

The first IMOLA III training seminar took place online, the 7th of October of 2020. This seminar brought together many national authorities named as Contact Points (CP) of the European Land Registry Network, supported by the IMOLA coordination team and scholars in semantics and new technologies.

Given that the situation stemmed from the COVID-19 outbreak, it turned out necessary to design a new format of virtual training in the case of the impossibility of carrying out face-to-face seminars.

The objectives of the seminar were the following:

  • Opening of virtual training; more flexibility, formative continuity, progressive assimilation of concepts
  • Detailing user guide and main features of the first version of the new centralized platform
  • Introduction of the new Moodle training platform

This time, we had the opportunity to count with the participation of Professor Dr Jose M.Alvarez from Carlos III University of Madrid, who presented a case study from the Spanish public TV (RTVE),regarding semantic technologies applied to the media sector.

We also had Gabriel Sima from DG Justice, European Commission, as an invited speaker, who presented the “Last developments of LRI project”.

The, the State of Play of IMOLA III was presented by the Project Manager, Jesús Camy.

In the second part of the seminar, Jesús Camy together with the IMOLA III Technical Director, Anabel Fraga, presented the “New virtual training schema”.

Anabel Fraga also explained the first version of new centralized I-KOS platform and the first version of the Moodle platform. The last will play a key role in this first phase of virtual training.
To end with, conclusions and next steps to be taken were presented by the Project Manager.
