On December 17, 2025, the sixth training seminar of the IMOLA IV Project was held in an online format, bringing together the IMOLA IV and ELRA members, Pedro Pernas, IMOLA Project Manager and, the Technical Director, Anabel Fraga. The seminar was opened by Pedro Pernas, who welcomed the participants and introduced the objectives and scope of the session, focused on the EU legal framework on data.
The seminar addressed “The EU legal framework on data”, with particular attention to:
- An overview of the EU legal framework on data, from data protection to open data.
- An explanation of the IMOLA Webservices and recent developments.
- The current status of the General Questions and Factsheet Questions, including preliminary statistical results.
- The presentation of new pivot terms within the IMOLA framework.
The agenda included the following presentations:
Giorgia Bincoletto, Fixed-term Researcher in Comparative Private Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento, delivered a presentation entitled “The EU legal framework on data: from data protection to open data”. Her intervention provided a comprehensive overview of the evolution of EU data regulation, addressing key instruments related to data protection, data governance and open data policies, and their relevance for public administrations and land registries. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session with participants.
Elena Prada presented the statistics and preliminary results of the Factsheet Questions, offering insights into the current state of responses and highlighting key trends emerging from the collected data.
Anabel Fraga then introduced the recent changes and improvements in the IMOLA Webservices, explaining their practical implications and how they contribute to enhancing interoperability and access to land registry information.
The seminar concluded with closing remarks and next steps by Pedro Pernas, who outlined forthcoming project milestones and activities.
