The XV ELRA General Assembly took place in Brussels on Friday 1st June 2012. The meeting was attended by the representatives from ELRA member associations and delegates from the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria, countries interested in ELRA, also participated.

The Assembly was divided into two main parts: one devoted to internal matters and another one to EC papers and discussions.

ELRA underlined the promotion of relations with other European Associations such as EULIS, PCC and Eurogeographics, as well as the development of the European Land Registry Network (ELRN) and the CROBECO project, whose closing conference was held the day before. 

The Assembly focused on the Consultation on the Future of European Insolvency, the Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings, the Green Paper on Free Movement of Public Documents and the Proposal for a Regulation on Matrimonial Economic Regimens.

On this occasion, ELRA had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Marnier, from the Unit of Civil Justice Policy, DG Justice of the European Commission, who introduced the final situation of the Land Registry in the Succession dossier.

Moderated by Mr. Louwman, ELRA President, there was a panel discussion about the free movement of public documents and recognition of the effects of civil status records, where experts from different areas participated. 

To close the XV Assembly, Mr. Wolf, representative from Austria, gave a clear vision of the functioning of the Land Registry System in his country.
