- How much data is collected by your national land registry about a foreigner when making a real estate transaction?
- Natural identification data: Natural personal identification data are the four natural personal identification data uniquely assigned to the person for the clear identification of the natural person (Called 4T in Hungary):
- Full name (first name and surname) and birth name (first name and surname);
- Place of birth;
- Date of birth;
- Mother’s birth name (first name and surname).
- Home address,
- Personal identification number of the person concerned (See Question 2)
- Citizenship
2. Do you use a uniform person identification number?
Land Register uses a uniform person identification number. Yes, if the person has a Hungarian citizenship or belongs to another special category: i.e., permanent residence permit, settlement permit, refugee status, persons having the right of free movement and residence, naturalized or re-naturalized person, Hungarian citizen living abroad. Legal basis: Act LXVI of 1992 on Keeping Records on the Personal Data and Address of Citizen
2.1. If Yes, do you use persons assigned number or make your own national number?
The person falls under Act LXVI of 1992 on Keeping Records on the Personal Data and Address of Citizen receive the uniform personal identification number in Hungary.
3. Do all State information systems use the one/same person identification number?
If the person has person identification number, the land register uses this number. Not all state information systems can use it.
