Legal value of LR Information

Home / European Land Registry Network / Croatia / Legal value of LR Information

What is the legal value of land registry information delivered by your national system?

Certified information. Is the LR information partly or completely certified?

Land registry data that are public and available online were certified after the digitisation of manually maintained land books, which means that they were checked by a Land Registry clerk who confirmed their identity and accuracy. If a LR extract has not been certified, that is clearly stated in the heading of the LR extract being reviewed.

If partly, could you please describe what specific information is certified?

The information that a Land Registry clerk ascertained as accurate and identical with the manually maintained land book is considered certified. All the information contained in such LR extract have been confirmed, applying the principle of trust in land registers, i.e. their accuracy and completeness.

Non certified information

The information that are still being copied, and those that cannot be certified yet as the Land Register has been established to be damaged (app. 1% in Croatia) are considered non-certified.
