a) Which are the main duties of the sole organization?

Land Registration is exercised by the Department of Lands and Surveys of Cyprus (DLS). DLS is solely responsible for the provision of services in connection with all the rights relating to immovable property – registration, valuation, general assessment (for tax purposes), tenure, surveying, cartography, geodesy and hydrography, as well as the management of all property belonging to the State. In addition, the Department manages the Cyprus Integrated Land Information System. DLS operates under a title system of registration.

b) Which Ministry’s competence does it fall under?

Ministry of Interior

c) Is land registration and mapping organized as separate departments within the organization?

Yes, these are separate sectors within the Organization.
