Legal value of LR Information

Home / European Land Registry Network / Estonia / Legal value of LR Information

What is the legal value of land registry information delivered by your national system?

Certified information. Is the LR information partly or completely certified? If partly, could you please describe what specific information is certified?

Estonian land register is public and everyone has the right to examine the land register information and to receive extracts. Information entered in the land register is presumed correct. No one may be excused by ignorance of information in the land register.

Estonian Land Register provides certified and non certified information. The content is same. The difference is only formal- the Land Registry department and notary has a right to certify the extract.

Non certified information

As the land registry information and extract are online accessible in practice more and more clients rely the e-land register and do not need certified extracts.
